What is the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)?

Basically, there is a production house named Marvel Studios under whose banner various films were made.

There are various superheroes who are the protagonists of these movies. These heroes are – Spiderman, Hulk, X-men, Ghost Rider, Blade, Deadpool, and others. These heroes possess various superpowers.

All these characters are created by ‘Stan Lee.’

Initially, Marvel Studios produced many stand-alone superhero movies like Spiderman, Hulk, Ghost Rider, Deadpool, Blade, etc. While, some of them were multi-starer such as  Fantastic Four, X-men.

Later in the year 2008, a separate branch of this production house was created which was named- Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Since then many movies have been made under the banner of MCU.

Although the MCU has taken most of the superheroes from Marvel Studios, the MCU has also created some new superheroes. For example, Ironman, Captain America, Thor, Dr. Strange, and others.

The stories of movies produced by MCU are related to each other.

Therefore, all these movies seem to be a sequence of their predecessor movies.

The stories of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are centered on a fictional universe.

The protagonists of these movies possess superpowers.

They are always ready to protect the people from enemies. These enemies are also super powerful.

Most of these superheroes work for an organization called S.H.I.E.L.D., which is an American anti-terror, an intelligence agency that maintains both national and global security.
